January 2022: Latest news from CUP responsible Stefan Holm:
Happy New Year everyone. This is a short update on the Scandinavian Masters 2022 tournament. We are facing a January with great uncertainty. The new Omikron mutation seems to create quite some headache for us organisers. Our health authorities will within the next week most likely provide us with guidelines how we can organise the event, or they might recommend that events like ours should not be held. Our priority is for everyone to feel safe. We will update you when we receive the latest news and inform you under which restrictions/pre-cautions we can organise our tournament.
January 2021: Latest news from CUP responsible Stefan Holm:
We have been waiting to the very last moment to decide if the Scandinavian Masters 2021 could be arranged in a smaller setup and for Danish teams only. Our last hope died out just before New Year. We don’t expect the Corona situation to improve in such a way that restrictions will be lifted by first weekend in March and definitely not with enough time in advance so that we can organize our setup. As organizers we also want everybody to have confidence in us making responsible decisions and we believe this action is the only responsible decision. With the vaccines being implemented we see a light at the end of the tunnel why we are confident to WELCOME you all from March 5-6 2022
Soon we will upload the invitations and we really hope that you will participate. Please share this post
Finally we wish you all a happy New Year – Stay safe – Stay healthy
October 2020: Covid-19 info from Stefan Holm:
Dear friends, unfortunately COVID pandemic wont let go. The numbers are going up in most of our regions and most of Europe is locked down. Although there is still 5 months until Scandinavian Masters I have great doubts that the tournament will organised in its usual structure. We are working on diffenrent scenarios. For example: only for U15, U17 and U19. It could also be with smaller number of particiants in each pool and so on. It all depends how the pandemic will evolve over the next couple of months. I will keep you posted in 4 weeks time and give you an update.Stay safe and stay well.
